Details

Canned Lima Beans are prepared from clean, sound, shelled seeds from the pods of the lima bean plant. The product is packed with water to which salt may be added as an optional ingredient. The product is packed in hermetically sealed containers and sufficiently processed by heat to assure preservation.

Directions

Microwave: Drain slightly, if desired, reserving excess liquid for use in soups, stews, or gravies. Place contents in a microwave safe dish, cover, and cook on High power about 3 minutes. Stir and season to taste. Stovetop: Drain liquid into saucepan and boil down to one-half. This saves flavor and food value. Add lima beans, reduce heat and simmer a few minutes until hot. Season to taste.
